International freight forwarder looks to build industry presence by joining Magnet Logistics Network

Chadd Blunt, Managing Director at Millennium Cargo

International freight forwarder, Millennium Cargo is expanding its presence within the logistics sector by joining forces with the freight and logistics network, Magnet.

After recognising that it cannot be wholly reliant on servicing businesses within the UK, Magnet Logistics Network has become the latest professional overseas professional group that Millennium Cargo has partnered with in order to increase the business’ presence within the industry on the global stage.

Such a strategy has been strategically embraced by the company’s Managing Director, Chadd Blunt in recent years who believes that overseas professional networks have had a positive impact on the business in terms of direct growth and will continue to play a major role in the development of the business going forward.

Millennium Cargo has reaped the rewards of seeking business through networking abroad, with the number of transcontinental companies working with the international freight forwarder increasing by 85%.

With its vision set on becoming the first freight Network to impress a percentage in the global market share, the Magnet Logistics Network strives to create long-term trusted partnerships with its members – connecting reliable providers of freight forwarding services in order to open up new channels of cooperation and business.

Aiming to support businesses of all shapes and sizes within the international freight forwarding and transport sectors, Magnet Logistics Network looks to empower their members and put them at the heart of the global marketplace.

Citing its ‘not one size fits all’ approach as a key reason behind joining the Magnet Logistics Network, Chadd Blunt believes that the group will be a valuable aide in helping to expand Millennium Cargo’s presence within the sector and to further its position as a freight forwarder of choice beyond the UK’s borders.

Chadd Blunt commented: “Joining the Magnet Logistics Network gives us with a platform that allows us to broaden our reach across the international stage and provides opportunities that wouldn’t usually be so easily accessible such as personally receiving industry updates from other intercontinental freight forwarders throughout the world and being able to share my own knowledge and best practices other with members inside the Network that previously I wouldn’t have necessarily come into contact with.

“The Network’s vision of expanding its membership’s profile within the international logistics sector aligns closely with our strategy moving forward which attracted us to become a member. Magnet offers exclusive membership per country and creates an open environment where freight forwarders and businesses right across the logistics sector can thrive through creating new partnerships.

“Partnering with overseas professional networks has been central to our business model at Millennium Cargo and will continue to play a key role in the business’ development over the forthcoming years. We now look forward to attending future Magnet events and working together to shape the future of the international shipping industry.”

Based in Birmingham, West Midlands, Millennium Cargo is a multi-modal freight forwarder offering sea, air road and rail transport to meet the needs of both importers and exporters wishing to move their products around the world and in particular, to and from Asia.

Now already a part of three overseas Networks, Chadd is also a member of Atlas, Alfa and Majestic Global Logistic Networks.
