The Art and Design Degree Show is one of the UK’s largest free public exhibitions of creativity and innovation. Offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the very best of emerging contemporary art and design practice created by Nottingham Trent University’s final year students. With more than 1,300 graduating artists and designers presenting work of exceptional quality, imagination and technical skill across the Nottingham Trent University City Campus.

Expect to see art installation, sculpture, illustration and painting; portfolios of graphic design, animation and motion graphics work; photography and print; fashion garments, textile and knitwear design; fashion communication and management; theatre, television and costume design; product innovation and prototypes; and furniture, interior and architectural design.

Barbara Matthews, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Culture) and Head of the College of Art, Architecture, Design and Humanities, said: “The Show celebrates the achievement of our Art and Design students, showcasing their impressive and skilful work as they prepare to shape our future creative industries.”

During early June, NTU City campus transforms into exhibition spaces, showcasing the work of emerging talent as graduates from the School of Art & Design and the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment embark on their careers. Highlights of the show are the Photography Festival, GEN23, which is due to take place across 11 spaces around Nottingham from 22 May to 5 June. GEN23 showcases the talented photography students engaging in the explorative, creative, self-reflective representation of current issues around relationships, race, politics, and the environment.

NTU will also be hosting a series of live catwalk shows on their City Campus. Taking place on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 May, collections by Fashion and Knitwear Design students will take to the runway.  Selected by a panel of industry judges, the best collections will be shown at London’s for Graduate Fashion Week – the highlight of London’s graduate fashion calendar.
