How to manage marketing budgets during uncertainty

Fiona Hawkins, Owner and MD of Plinkfizz

With Brexit stretching business budgets across all sectors from retail to manufacturing, having an effective marketing strategy has never been more important.

A free business seminar aimed at business owners and marketing managers across Staffordshire hosted by award winning integrated marketing agency Plinkfizz, will provide insights into the most effective digital channels to use in business marketing.

The Join The Dots: 2020 event will also tackle best practice when it comes to measuring the results from those channels so companies can make smarter decisions on their future marketing spend and gain invaluable insights into their target customers.

Speakers at the event include Matt Hubbard of production company Reels in Motion, who will be advising on how to use video content within your business marketing strategy.

Fiona Hawkins, Owner and MD of Plinkfizz, said: “Between GDPR and Brexit many businesses are currently facing larger than usual challenges and their budgets are having to stretch further and deliver more than ever before.

“Customer buying behaviours have shifted and the skills delivery teams within businesses need have changed and now have to constantly evolve to keep up.

“The ability of businesses to promote their services though words, images, video and social media are now essential, and having the skills to analyse the results from those is equally important.

“According to the Lloyds bank UK consumer digital index report 2019 more than half of UK adults do not have the essential digital skills needed for the workplace, despite 54% of workers using the internet as part of their jobs.

“It’s essential that we close this digital divide in the workplace across Staffordshire if businesses here are to not only survive – but thrive.

“This event aimed at business owners and marketing teams will provide an insight into how the digital landscape can transform their business, and provide tools to allow them to market their business effectively and more importantly measure it – so they know if it’s delivering the return on investment they need.”

Other topics being discussed include how much a business should invest in marketing, how to set a digital budget, where should your business invest in marketing and how to identify and address the skills gaps within your business.
