Hop&Co. on fryer with latest client win

Cheshire-based PR and marketing agency Hop&Co. is delighted to have added Birkenhead food brand MJ’s Diner to its expanding B2C client roster.

Fully integrated digital, PR, and social media agency Hop&Co. is supporting MJ’s Diner with its ground-breaking, first-to-market launch of air-fryer-ready meals to British consumers. The company is owned by 50-year-old Noel Davis who lives in Formby and has over 30 years of experience in food manufacturing and distribution across several different businesses. His ingenious idea for a range of air fryer ready meals was sparked over a meal with his three children, coupled with the proven popularity of air fryers as a kitchen staple and his industry knowledge and know-how. The idea is to help those who are time-poor and want something that won’t blow their calorie count but is a quick, tasty, and cheap option for an evening meal or breakfast.

The UK’s first air fryer ready meal range includes 14 frozen ready meals specifically developed for the air fryer, including an array of ‘fakeaways’ such as Salt and Pepper Chicken, Katsu Chicken Curry, Kebab, and chip-shop favourites such as Steak Pie and Sausages, Chips and Gravy, with a further five new products on the way.

The innovative frozen meals, priced between just £1.99 and £2.49, contain everything consumers need for the perfect ‘fakeaway’ in one pack, cook in under 20 minutes, and have fewer calories than ‘ordering in’ – the lowest meal comes in at just 531kcals and every dish in the range is under 915kcals. Already available in Farmfoods, Noel’s own Oops Food Clearance in St Helens, over 300 independent retailers nationwide, and about to hit the shelves in Poundland, Noel is also in talks with the likes of Home Bargains, Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s to supply the air fryer-ready meals.

Having previously worked with Noel on the launch of his Oops! discount supermarkets back in 2020, Hop’s MD, Becks Wiper, is thrilled to welcome him back on board for this latest launch.
