Local relationship bank Handelsbanken Derby has moved to bigger premises to accommodate its growing team following a deal that was overseen by commercial property consultants Innes England.

Handelsbanken’s Derby branch, which provides local relationship banking services to both individuals and businesses, has relocated to The Arc, Pride Park, from their current branch on Pinnacle Way.

“The bank has taken a long-term lease within a prestigious building on Pride Park and will be increasing the size of their Derby branch by half as much again, which reinforces the company’s commitment to the city” said Chris Wright, Associate Director at Innes England.

The additional space at the new branch will allow the bank to continue to expand.

Ian Morris, Branch Manager of Handelsbanken Derby, says: “As we approach the completion of our first 10 years working with our customers in Derby, we are very pleased to have found new, larger premises on Pride Park to allow us to meet growing demand for our traditional and relationship-led banking services across Derbyshire.”

“We look forward to welcoming customers new and old to our new office when we open for business later this year.”

Chris Wright concluded: “Having a good understanding of the bank’s operation and standards, I knew The Arc would be a perfect fit for expansion of the Handelsbanken Derby branch. The Arc is a striking and iconic building on Pride Park worthy of a headquarters”.
