Final call for Wool@J13 2019 exhibitor applications

Exhibitors keen to secure a place at fast-growing Midlands wool show Wool@J13 should act now – as application for the 2019 edition of the event, which will take place on 18th & 19th May, are to close in January.

Set on a working farm just 1 mile from J13 of the M6 in Staffordshire, Wool@J13 is the brainchild of Staffordshire-based wool artist Ingrid Wagner and Lower Drayton Farm’s Val James. The 2019 show aims to build on the 1.4 thousand visitors who passed through the gates in 2018; offering even more woolly fun over the weekend. In addition to exhibitions, workshops, ‘have a go at’ activities and a shopping marquee packed with exhibitors from far and wide, the event will have a focus on men knitting; tying in nicely with the nominated charity for this year – Baggy Trousers UK for men’s testicular cancer awareness =and welcoming in Nathan Taylor, The Sockmatician with his newly published book ‘Guys Knitting’.

The festival vibe is also set to build on previous years, with more traders and visitors expected to camp and make the most of the fun atmosphere with live music, street food, entertainment and the farm’s family fun farm attraction open for visitors to enjoy.

New wool and yarn businesses also get a boost – those based within a 50-mile radius of the venue can qualify for a half-price stand in the show’s ‘Saw Them Here First’ zone.

Applications are invited ahead of the deadline of 11th January 2019 – to download an exhibitor pack or for more details visit: www.wool-j13.co.uk. Alternatively, get in touch with the festival team by emailing: [email protected] or calling 01785 330757 or 07717 036213.
