Ahsan Sajjad has owned Caremark Dacorum & St Albans and Caremark Welwyn & Hatfield for just over two and a half years. In this short time, he has brought employment to over 55 local people, with his team of skilled care workers providing more than 950 hours of care per week to clients across Hertfordshire. In November, Ahsan, along with business partners, Vasilis Koutlakis and Abir Altali, took over management of Caremark North Hertfordshire & Stevenage and are now working with the existing care team to drive the business forwards.
Caremark North Hertfordshire & Stevenage, whose office is at Enterprise House on Maxted Road in Hemel Hempstead, already provides over 590 hours of care every week to residents across Stevenage, Hitchin, Baldock and the surrounding areas. When the existing owner, Colin Evans, decided the time was right to retire from the care industry, Ahsan – known as Ash – leapt at the chance to run another branch of the business he knows and loves.
“North Hertfordshire is an area and a community that I’ve always been passionate about supporting,” said Ash. “When the opportunity arose for me to take over the business here, I was so thrilled. With the support of Vasilis and Abir, we plan to develop the business and we are all determined to bring the very highest standards of care to our new clients.”
“We’re especially pleased that the team here are going to be staying with us and continuing to work with the clients and families that they’ve built up relationships with. Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be looking to expand our team of care workers so that we can offer support to more people and change more lives for the better,” adds Vasilis.
Caremark North Hertfordshire & Stevenage has already been rated GOOD by the Care Quality Commission and Ash’s Dacorum & St Albans-based business has recently been awarded an ‘Excellent’ rating following an inspection by the Directors of Adult Social Services.
Ash has built a network of highly-skilled and motivated care workers and has supported numerous local organisations through organising charity initiatives and events. With a successful career in healthcare under his belt, having been in the industry since 2012, he’s keen to work with the Local Authorities throughout Hertfordshire to help alleviate the pressures and ever-increasing demand for quality care.
With the support of successful business owner, Vasilis, and former care-professional, Abir, Ash plans to emulate the same level of care, compassion and integrity in his new Hemel Hempstead-based business.
