Swansway Motor Group proved it had bakers to rival those on TV’s bake-off, producing cakes, biscuits and buns galore across their 22 locations which include Stoke Audi, Stafford Audi and Stafford Land Rover.
Emma Goodall, the dealership marketing manager who co-ordinated the Macmillan Coffee Morning event across the group explained, “As a family owned business, we always try to get involved in fund-raising for charities which touch family life. Sadly cancer is something that touches us all, in one way or another and the Macmillan coffee morning is a great way of getting staff together and raising money for this fantastic charity.
“I wouldn’t normally call myself a baker, but I had a good go and produced a chocolate cake which seemed to go down well”!
Across the dealerships the group raised £2,556.66 for Macmillan; Swansway Group director, David Smyth commented, “I felt I had to take part, so I did my bit, by visiting quite a few of our dealerships and eating plenty of cakes! In all seriousness our staff really rose to the challenge and I’m delighted they’ve raised such a significant amount for this brilliant charity”.
