Industry innovator Cloudfm has cemented its move into the Spanish market with a thought-leadership event at its Barcelona office.

Following strong growth in the UK market since its inception in 2011, Cloudfm launched its groundbreaking FM model to the Spanish market in 2018, in a joint venture with Optima Facility, marking the next stage in the company’s push into Europe.

The firm’s cutting-edge technology platform, commitment to transparency, and true partnership approach represents a step-change in service provision, and is considered the most advanced FM solution available worldwide – plus it has been proven to control costs while improving quality, as evidenced by Cloudfm’s work with global brands including TUI, Wolseley and KFC.

The thought-leadership event – designed to stimulate debate around the optimal management of outsourced maintenance services, and share valuable insight into how the current norms of the industry might be disrupted to reap rewards for all parties involved – featured a keynote presentation from Chris Drew, Chief Financial Officer at KFC UK & Ireland.

Outlining the ways in which the Cloudfm service has enabled KFC to transform its FM from a troublemaking cost to an investment which supports the company’s business objectives, Mr Drew explained to the group of client- and provider-side industry specialists how Cloudfm’s robust methodologies and real-time visibility have unlocked extra value and positively contribute to KFC’s bottom line.

“With the right data, presented in the right way – at Board level – FM can be transformed from a headache-inducing necessary evil to a useful way of driving efficiencies in expenditure, including capex investment,” Mr Drew commented. “Controlled process, dependable data, and a commitment to doing the right thing for mutual benefit, can revolutionize the value that can be extracted from an FM budget.”

“We’re proud to be leading the dialogue around the transformation of the FM industry in Europe,” added Jeff Dewing, CEO of Cloudfm. “We’ve proven the success of our market-leading approach in the UK, and are delighted with the international momentum that our radically different partnership formula has gained – this event has been a really promising start to the positive evolution of FM provision across Spain and the rest of Europe.”
