Birmingham-based Click Travel has leapt 24 places in the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table for mid-market business growth.
The next-generation travel management company, which is based in the Alpha Tower, rose to 134th in the league table after its 220-strong team brought in more than £40m of new business, increasing annual turnover by 20 per cent to £199m.
As one of Birmingham’s ‘Silicon Canal’ tech companies, Click Travel manages millions of travel bookings a year for a wide variety of businesses from FTSE 100 companies, to public and third sector organisations.
The company’s booking tool, travel.cloud, also caters for SMEs and businesses that don’t want to be tied to a contract, with an entirely self-service travel management offering.
Jill Palmer, CEO, Click Travel, says: “Our focus on people and technology has been the key to our growth, and we will continue to invest heavily in both as we expand even further.”
She adds: “We’re extremely proud to be flying the flag for business in Birmingham. It’s the perfect location for us in terms of talent and travel.”
Earlier this year, Click Travel received a multi-million pound investment from the Business Growth Fund to support its ambitious expansion plans.
The company has also been inducted into the Tech Nation Future Fifty – a government-supported initiative designed to help late-stage digital companies scale up, with alumni including Skyscanner, AO and Deliveroo.
