Children’s play centre heading to Multipark Pensnett

A fresh approach to children’s play is launching in Kingswinford this spring and boasts soft play alongside crafts, sensory play and a healthy café.

The Mini Monkeys play centre offers a jungle-themed soft play and climbing area, craft and role play stations, a wave deck and sensory experiences as well as extensive, secure parking and floodlighting around the building for ease of access.

The centre, which is under development at Unit 4, Baird House, at The Innovation Centre, Multipark Pensnett is set to open seven-days-a-week and promises to offer a “home from home” environment. Offering healthy, nutritious meals, the owner sees it as a place where babies and young children can learn and explore safely, whilst carers and parents can enjoy a coffee and a catch up with friends.

Layla Jasper, Mini Monkeys owner said: “There is nothing like this in and around the area so I wanted to create something a little different that fosters a relaxed place for family and friends to come together. It’s also somewhere that people with children can come for a quality breakfast, lunch, dinner or even a take out and to be safe in the knowledge that children are at the heart of the experience.

“As part of Mini Monkeys, we’ve been able to create six new jobs and look forward to being able to hold workshops, classes, parties and even events for the small people and the bigger people in their lives.”

Paula James, LCP industrial lettings manager at Multipark Pensnett, said: “We are thrilled that Mini Monkeys has joined the charities and businesses that are part of the thriving Innovation Centre community. Having signed a 5-year lease we see this as a real opportunity for the business and for the parents that are looking for new ways to support and nurture their children in a creative and safe environment.

“This unit forms part of the £1 million refurbishment at Multipark Pensnett. There are three single storey suites – 831 sq ft, 1500 sq ft and 3026 sq ft – at The Innovation Centre still available and are suitable for all Class E businesses, including restaurants, dog grooming, retail, leisure, workshops and offices. They have been refurbished to the highest standard, ready for immediate occupation.”
