Is your scooter gathering dust? Barbie not been out of the box for a while? Why not have a clear out and donate your unused toys to Acorns Children’s Hospice shops?
Acorns is appealing for donations to ensure its network of shops are fully stocked in the run up to Christmas.
Gary Pettit, Head of Retail and Retail Operations at Acorns, said: “Our Shop Managers are telling us that now is the perfect time to have a good clear out and help us keep our shops fully stocked in the run up to Christmas.
“The festive period is a really busy time for us as people start to shop for toys to give as presents and we want to make sure our shelves are brimming with the best bargain buys and stocking fillers.
Acorns needs £27,000 per day to provide its care and support services with the charity’s network of over 50 shops across the West Midlands playing a key part in helping to raise those funds.
Gary added: “We rely on donations to keep our shops stocked – so, if you’ve got any games, dolls, toys, action figures, jigsaws and teddies in need of a new home, why not donate them to your local Acorns shop and help children and families in your area this Christmas.”
Acorns offers specialist palliative care and support for babies, children and young people with life limiting and life threatening conditions, as well as support for their families.
Anyone who would like to donate toys can take them along to their local Acorns shop. To find your nearest Acorns shop, visit: www.acorns.org.uk/shop-locator.
