CALA Homes strengthens regional land team with two new appointments

Premium housebuilder CALA Homes (Midlands) Ltd has announced two new appointments to its expanding land team, following a successful year for the business which has seen it secure a number of new sites across the region.

Ian Humphries joins the team as Regional Land Director. With over 30 years’ experience in the property industry, Ian spent over 10 years’ as Land Director at Bellway Homes before more recently joining CALA from Solihull-based housebuilder, Hayfield Homes. With an impressive CV and knowledge of the Midlands residential property market, Ian will be primarily responsible for securing and maximising land opportunities for the region.

Ian will be supported by James Simpson-Stern who joins the team as Land Graduate. Having recently graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BSc in Spatial Planning and Business Management, James will be responsible for supporting the wider land and planning team to secure and develop new projects. He will reach out to landowners, conduct feasibility studies and undertake market research whilst expanding his own knowledge and experience of the housebuilding industry.

CALA aims to contract around six new sites in the next 12 months in key strategic areas along the M5 and M40 corridors.
