BWS announces new independent short film with Brian Quinn

Ben Wild Studios (BWS) has announced that its team is working on a new independent short film with Brian Quinn, best known to many as ‘Q’ from Impractical Jokers.

The project, titled FOUR INKS, is an original hand-animated superhero short directed by Ben Wild and Holly Jameson. Brian Quinn brings his voice and likeness to the narrator of the story, while Simmy Kustanowitz joins the project as executive producer.

The announcement marks another ambitious step for BWS, the film, animation and design studio founded by Ben Wild. As work continues on FOUR INKS, BWS is planning a festival run for the finished short, with BAFTA firmly among the festivals in its sights, underlining the studio’s ambition to create distinctive independent work with both audience appeal and industry recognition.

Ben Wild, Founder of BWS and Chief Doodler, said: “Working on FOUR INKS with Brian Quinn is a huge moment for us. This is exactly the kind of project we love at BWS — bold, character-led, emotionally driven storytelling with real creative ambition behind it.

“Brian brings his voice and likeness to the narrator of our story, and we’re building something that feels genuinely original. With Simmy Kustanowitz on board as executive producer, and as an independent studio, we’re incredibly proud to be developing a short with this level of creative energy and international appeal. We absolutely want to aim high with it, and BAFTA is one of the festivals we have in our sights as we look to give FOUR INKS the strongest possible platform.”

The project continues BWS’s focus on original storytelling and hand-crafted creative work, with the studio building a reputation for film, animation and visual content that blends creativity, character and ambition.
