National business brokers Business Partnership have appointed a new regional partner to cover North Essex, East Hertfordshire and South Suffolk.
Colin Howell has vast knowledge of the corporate and small business sectors and first-hand experience of being both a business buyer and seller.
Mr Howell, who is based in Little Dunmow, Essex, was an accountant and tax specialist before becoming finance director of a group of companies within the healthcare sector.
After selling that business in 2004, he founded a recruitment start-up which grew over a period of 15 years to a turnover of £50 million and during this time, he undertook numerous acquisitions. His wide-ranging business interests have spanned industries including accountancy, training and employment.
“I have a passion for business and totally understand the emotional attachment owners have to companies they have set up, nurtured and grown,” said Mr Howell.
“Through my experience of buying and selling businesses, I will be able to highlight the potential pitfalls before they become a problem and make the process to a successful outcome as smooth as possible.”
