Leading Midlands house builder Cameron Homes has become a corporate partner of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The company, which has a new regional office in Stratford-upon-Avon, will sponsor the family activities marquee at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage – the family home of William Shakespeare’s wife Anne Hathaway – and will also support disabled access day events next March.
Sarah Fisher, education officer at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, said: “Around 6,000 people a year take part in the games, quests, crafts and other hands-on activities in the marquee at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, all designed to give young people a fun and creative introduction to Shakespeare’s work, life, times.
“As an independent charity the trust relies on income generated from visitors, donors, volunteers and friends to provide our educational programmes and to enable us to care for the five historic Shakespeare family homes, so we are thankful for the support of Cameron Homes and hope that this is the start of an on-going relationship with them.”
Bev Coleman, head of sales at Cameron Homes, said that the firm was delighted to announce its partnership with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
