L-R: Ryan Southall and Chris Walklett

Award winning Top 30 firm, Bishop Fleming, has swelled its numbers in its Worcester based West Midlands office as it continues to grow.

The firm, which delivers accounting, tax, and advisory services to businesses and private wealth advice to individuals, in the last month alone has increased its headcount of staff by 20% in its Worcester office.

Its latest senior appointment is Ryan Southall, who joins the firm from BDO Birmingham as Audit Director.

Ryan’s appointment will help the firm to deliver the next stage in its ambitious growth plans.

Ryan said “I’m excited to be joining Bishop Fleming to help them leverage the opportunities in the West Midlands. The office is really building momentum and helping put Worcester on the Midlands map. I’m joining a great team and one that is continuing to grow. It was an opportunity I just couldn’t turn down.”

The firm has twice been listed as Britain’s fastest growing accountancy firm and has been in The Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For index for the past four years.

West Midlands Partner in Charge, Chris Walklett commented “We are committed to the West Midlands and supporting the businesses that are part of the Midlands Engine. Key to that is attracting and retaining the best people. We have never recruited so many people in such a short space of time, and a real positive for the local economy in what are increasingly uncertain times. Ryan has been a key hire for us and brings with him a wealth of experience from his time within top 10 accountancy practices. Ryan is also joined by staff at various levels, including two new starters on our flagship school leaver programme – Launchpad.”

Bishop Fleming is currently celebrating its centenary, is ranked in the top 30 of the UK’s national league table of accountancy firms, and has offices in Truro, Plymouth, Torquay, Exeter, Bristol, Bath and Worcester.
