Big Sleep Out to take place in 2024

  • Popular event back for an eighth time
  • Scheduled for Friday, February 23
  • Two local charities will benefit

Stoke City Community Trust are to stage the Big Sleep Out for an eighth time in 2024.

The event, sponsored by Tile Mountain, will take place at the bet365 Stadium on Friday, February 23.

The charitable initiative encourages supporters and the wider community to help raise awareness of homelessness within the city and its surrounding areas.

Participants get first-hand experience of what it’s like to brave the elements overnight as they bed down inside and outside the Franklyn Stand concourse, all whilst raising much-needed funds for local charities.

The event will start at 6pm in the evening and end the following morning at 8am, when breakfast baps will be served.

Those taking part must be 11 or over, however, for anyone under 18, they must be accompanied by an adult/guardian and have parental permission to attend.

For those unable to attend, the Community Trust are encouraging people to take part in the Big Sleep Out at home by sleeping in their garden, on their floors, or wherever feels like a challenge!

Supporters are encouraged to raise at least £100, with a deposit of £20 contributing towards the donation. The charities who will benefit are the Macari Foundation and Stoke City Community Trust.
