High-flying businesses across the region have been recognised at an annual gala awards dinner.

The cream of the business crop were unveiled at the East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire Business Awards which took place at Burton Albion FC’s Pirelli Stadium on Thursday 7th November 2019.

The Business Awards showcase business excellence across the neighbouring regions of East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire.

They are co-ordinated by a steering committee made up of representatives from supporting partners and sponsors committed to recognising and celebrating company successes and achievement.

Dains Accountants, which has an office in Burton, sponsored the ‘Business of the Year’ category and Dains Managing Partner Richard McNeilly and Business Development Director Daran Harding were invited to judge this year’s awards.

Richard and Daran shortlisted three finalists for the Business of the Year category – Infinity IT, Prestec UK and The Dragon before crowning Infinity IT as the overall award winner.

Richard presented all three Business of the Year finalists with Dains branded magnums of champagne.

Richard said: “The calibre of businesses in the region is exceptional and is something that we should be extremely proud of.

“Shortlisting three finalists for Business of the Year was extremely difficult as there were strong entries from companies who have all had a very successful year.

“Dains Accountants were delighted to sponsor the Business of the Year category and be part of the judging process.”

“It’s fantastic to see businesses in Burton and the surrounding area going from strength-to-strength and these are exciting times for the East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire region.”
