ARBA Group has sold a significant parcel of land on Chesterfield Road, Barlborough to Doncaster-based Ground Group.

The land has already received full planning consent for the development of 157 homes, a welcome and important addition to the the district of Bolsover. After many years of work to assemble, manage and obtain the consent, Mansfield-based ARBA Group secured the planning for the housing development, which will be accessed from a new roundabout on Chesterfield Road. The site will provide two, three and four-bedroomed properties in a location with excellent local amenities and first-class transport links to several major cities including Nottingham, Sheffield and Leeds. Andrew Allen, ARBA Group director, said: “This is a significant addition to housing in Bolsover borough. “It has taken time to deliver a scheme meeting the council’s requirements. We have now sold the site and this will unlock its potential.

We expect Ground Group, which specialises in mixed use and residential sites, to be commencing development in early 2019 with the first houses being available to buy later in the year.” He added: “In these modern times, it is testing to obtain consents for schemes of this size and we acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our team of professional consultants.” ARBA was advised by Pegasus Planning, Local Transport Projects and Gosschalks Solicitors.

The residential site is opposite a location that will see the development of an Explore Transport depot, where up to 500 jobs will be created.

This site was recently sold by the ARBA Group to Explore, a collaboration between William Stobart and Laing O’Rourke.
