ALT Agency accelerates growth with senior appointment

John Byfield has joined ALT Agency as Strategic Advisor

Birmingham-based ALT Agency, which specialises in high performance websites for scale-ups and established brands, is celebrating its “best year yet” following the appointment of John Byfield, formerly Chairman and Founder of Essentially Group, which was listed on AIM prior to a successful sale.

Having joined the Birmingham-based agency 12 months ago as Strategic Advisor, John Byfield has helped ALT Agency accelerate its growth plans with a 33% increase in turnover year on year. New client wins and a focus on profit-driven design and development, has also seen the agency grow to a team of 16.

ALT Agency offers design, development, and marketing support to its clients; from web design and app development to SEO and PPC. Recent notable projects include The British Lymphology Society, The UK ICF, The Beatles Story, and Aim Environmental.

Managing Director, Craig Murphy, comments: “The past 12 months have been a real opportunity for us to home in on what makes us unique, and that’s performance. We deliver for clients on time, every time, and the work that we present is always focused on their bottom line. Websites should look great, of course, but they should also deliver measurable results.

Since joining, John has brought his performance-focused leadership style to our senior management team, which is really helping us get to the next level. Our revenue is up by over a third and we’ve doubled our team, with new recruits still yet to join us. We’ve got some acquisitions in the pipeline too, so this is just the beginning, as we’re looking for a further 50% growth in the next 12 months.”
