One of the Gulf’s most exciting transformations is coming to the heart of London this September as Live Oman takes over Future Stores on Oxford Street, showcasing the bold vision, innovation and opportunities transforming Oman’s next chapter.
Opening from 21 September to 4 October, ‘Reimagine Your Future: Live Oman’ will bring to life the country’s evolving vision. The Sultanate of Oman is undergoing a significant transformation, with new homes, transport networks, schools, healthcare, green spaces, business districts and cities being developed across Oman as part of Oman Vision 2040.
His Excellency Dr Khalfan Al Shueili, Oman’s Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, will attend the exhibition, allowing visitors to hear directly about the country’s plans for the future.
The exhibition will also feature a special video message from two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, who is currently buying a penthouse in one of Oman’s landmark developments. His decision to invest in Oman reflects the growing international interest in the country as a destination to live, invest and build a future.
Oman is ranked third in the world in Numbeo’s Mid-Year 2026 Quality of Life Index, making it the highest-ranked country in the Gulf, and the fifth safest globally. Expatriates make up around 43% of the population, creating a diverse, international society alongside the Omani majority. Oman also ranked 11th globally in the 2025 InterNations Expat Insider Survey, reflecting its appeal among international residents.
From mountains to 3,000km of coastline, historic communities and vibrant cities, Oman offers a distinctive way of life shaped by nature, culture and a strong sense of place. In the capital, Muscat, dramatic mountains form a natural backdrop to the city, while the coastline is within easy reach.
Live Oman will showcase the breadth of new residential and urban development taking place across Oman, from contemporary apartments and family villas to waterfront communities and major new cities. Leading developers, including Adanté Realty, TMG – Muscat, Muscat Bay, Al Abrar Real Estate, Al Ahly Sabbour Development, Al Nama Real Estate and Tathmeer properties, will bring their projects to London, showing visitors the new homes and investment opportunities directly and the teams behind them.
Among the developments featured will be Sultan Haitham City, one of the flagship projects in Greater Muscat, with around 20,000 homes planned alongside parks, education, healthcare, retail, employment and civic facilities. Seven developers have already been signed to the project, representing a committed development value of around US$6.4 billion.
Featuring A’Thuraya City, Muscat Bay, combining residential living with a coastal setting, and Al Jabal Al A’ali, Oman’s high mountain destination. Together, the developments demonstrate the range of housing available, from contemporary city and family living to waterfront communities and homes connected to Oman’s natural landscape.
The showcase will also bring together some of the organisations shaping everyday life in modern Oman. Sohar International will represent the country’s growing banking and financial services sector, while Oman Air will showcase its international connectivity. Vodafone Oman will highlight the country’s evolving digital infrastructure, with luxury fragrance house Amouage bringing another distinctive expression of Oman’s culture and global outlook to the experience.
The transformation extends beyond individual developments. Across Greater Muscat, the scale of future growth is significant. By 2040, the metropolitan area is projected to support approximately 2.7 million residents and 1.8 million jobs, while a planned 55km light rail corridor with 42 stations is intended to reshape the way the capital grows and connects. Oman’s wider population currently stands at around 5.35 million, with approximately 79% living in urban areas, underlining the growing importance of well-planned urban development.
For buyers, homes range from apartments and units suitable as second homes to substantial family properties and five-bedroom villas. The prices range from around £100,000 to £2 million and selected developments offer international buyers freehold ownership. Housing and utilities account for around 17% of monthly household spending in Oman, compared with the commonly cited 30% affordability threshold.
Visitors to Live Oman will be able to explore these opportunities alongside the wider experience of living in the Sultanate of Oman, from mountain views and coastal living to historic souqs, forts and green public spaces.
The development programme forms part of Oman Vision 2040, which is driving economic diversification across tourism, logistics, technology, manufacturing, food production and urban development, while maintaining a strong focus on Omani identity, wellbeing and sustainable growth.
