Nicholson Group has completed the internal restoration and conversion of the historic Radiant House building on Cotham Street, St Helens, unveiling 14 new apartments under the name Nicholson Point.
The project marks the latest milestone in the developer’s ongoing regeneration of the town centre, breathing new life into one of St Helens’ most recognisable art deco landmarks.
Once home to the Gas Corporation, Nicholson Point sits on the prominent corner of Cotham Street and Ormskirk Street.
Nicholson Group acquired the property in 2024 and following planning permission granted by St Helens Council, work began on restoring and converting the building into modern, affordable apartments.
Nicholson Point has delivered 14 residences finished to the same high standard as the developer’s other recent town centre projects, while preserving the building’s original art deco character.

“St Helens Council backed our vision to create a Parisian-inspired Art Deco rooftop development. The project, in a highly prominent location, has breathed new life into a building that was otherwise on the brink of dereliction and abandonment.
