One Thousand Trades Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of a 50% share in UK News Group, bringing one of the UK’s established SME-focused business news platforms formally into the One Thousand Trades family.
UK News Group provides national, regional and industry news for the UK business community, with a particular focus on SMEs, alongside expert opinion, business profiles and practical insights. It joins West Midlands News, which is already part of One Thousand Trades Group’s growing media portfolio.
Professor Paul Cadman, CEO of One Thousand Trades Group, said he was delighted to announce the new partnership, calling it “a strategic move that strengthens and expands our Group’s media capability and the benefit we can provide to businesses.”

UK News Group currently gets over 10,000 visitors to the site each month – with news covering a wide range of sectors including Banking and Finance, Education, Building and Construction and Professional Services. The site also has 8,000 followers on X, 8,000 followers on LinkedIn and 2,000 followers on Facebook.
