Two leadership and culture experts have launched a new podcast aimed at giving hard-pressed managers and leaders the concise, practical advice they say is missing from today’s crowded leadership content landscape.
The Leadership Squeeze, hosted by business psychologist Clare Radford and Kareen Griffiths, takes its name from a phenomenon the pair say they see constantly in their work: leaders being squeezed from every direction, navigating a volatile geopolitical landscape, driving constant organisational change, and being asked to deliver more with less.
Radford and Griffiths, who between them have spent their careers helping organisations build better working environments, say they created the podcast after noticing a gap between the advice leaders are given and the advice they actually need.
The six-part series covers topics including leading teams through constant change, building a healthy culture while navigating remote working, and how to genuinely create psychological safety. Each episode is designed to be short, sharp and practical, reflecting the reality that time-poor leaders need answers, not theory.
The podcast is already gaining traction with listeners. One leader described it as:

Radford and Griffiths met at Ignite, a conference in Birmingham hosted by The 51% Club, a network designed to accelerate and hyper-connect women in business.
“We really connected, first of all in terms of our energy, but then we started chatting about the themes we were noticing in our work,” said Clare Radford. “We would talk endlessly about the challenges our clients were facing and how we’d like to do more to support them. That’s how The Leadership Squeeze was created, it’s basically an extension of the conversations we were having every week.”
Kareen Griffiths added: “We really wanted to put something out there that’s helpful to leaders feeling the squeeze. I know some people might say ‘oh no, not another podcast’, but we’ve tried to create something different– the episodes are short, sharp, practical and fun.”
