The partnership sees Wrights Plastics design and manufacture a wide range of in-store display elements. All items are produced at the company’s 42,000 sq ft West Bromwich facility, drawing on in-house expertise in acrylic fabrication, LED integration and CNC engineering.
One of the manufacturer’s largest recent projects included producing more than 70 bespoke display units for JD Sports’ flagship Manchester Trafford Centre store — described at launch as the largest JD Sports store in the world.
Commercial Director Andy Watkins said: “Supporting JD Sports at this scale is a major milestone for our team and a great example of the capability and flexibility of UK manufacturing. We have expanded the team and now operate a three shift pattern to meet demand.”
Many of the bespoke display elements originally developed for the Trafford Centre store have now been deployed internationally and can now be seen across stores in Great Britain, mainland Europe and North America.
