The Pavers Foundation, employee-led charitable initiative of York-based footwear Pavers has donated £1,000 to Leeds Baby Bank, on behalf of Gail McNamee, Retail Admin Manager at Pavers Head Office.
The grant represents the largest monetary donation the charity has received since their launch in January 2017.
Gail chose to support the charity through the Pavers Foundation’s Grant Application scheme, having made regular donations to the charity herself and seeing the amazing impact the charity has on families in her local community: “I have seen first-hand the assistance that this charity provides, especially to single parents in Leeds. In some cases, this has become absolutely vital due to the levels of hardship and unemployment brought about by Covid.”
Will from Leeds Baby Bank explained what the donation will allow the charity to do for others in their community: “This funding will enable us to purchase essentials for families in crisis in Leeds. We are thrilled to have received this funding, as now we can purchase new mattresses for each donated cot, toiletries for families, and essentials for our charity to keep going. Thank you very much to The Pavers Foundation for the kindness shown.”
The Pavers Foundation aims to make a difference to charities and causes close to the hearts of their colleagues which are impactful in areas of health, education and community. Having recently reached their £1million milestone of charitable giving, the Foundation is proud to have impacted tens of thousands of lives across the UK and beyond.
