A Midlands estate agency launched at the height of the Coronavirus pandemic is toasting a successful first year in business as it prepares to motor on with its plans for year two.
Chosen Home has thrived through two national lockdowns to reach its first anniversary, scooping awards and nominations and growing its team further along the way.
Director Richard Ash said: “The concept and business plan for Chosen Home was initially born in early 2020, and we were preparing the model to take to market as the Covid-19 pandemic first took a foothold. Rather than letting our plans become derailed indefinitely, we agreed to push on with developing the model ready to launch, finally doing so in September last year.
“We’re so glad we made that decision. Being confined to their homes for so many weeks gave people a focus, and from the moment lockdown restrictions were lifted to allow viewings and house sales to proceed last summer, the UK property market surged. We couldn’t have picked a better time to launch our transparent and effective ‘we sell your home for free’ model, which sees purchasers pay the business’ fee of one per cent of the asking price with the huge appetite for both buying and selling across the Midlands.
“As a result, In the past 12 months, Chosen Home has become one of the region’s fastest-growing independent estate agents, and earning a reputation for providing exceptional customer service and first-class sales packages,” he said.
To date, Chosen Home has listed or sold more than 55 properties with a total value of over £40m, and has already been awarded or shortlisted for a number of prestigious awards, having secured a gold British Property Award for customer service, and most recently, having been shortlisted for TheBusinessdesk.com’s Businesses Masters award within the Disruptor category.
Add to that a consistent five-star rating on TrustPilot, and the business is set to continue its successful streak well into the new year.
Richard added: “Any business launched within the last two years has faced incredible, unforeseen, challenges and we feel that toasting our success in reaching our first anniversary is a great achievement in its own right.
“We’re now pressing on with our vision for year two, which will see us continue to offer high levels of customer service and further expand our reach within the Midlands,” he said.
