Popular networking lunches return to Nottingham

Matt Youdale and Victoria Beale welcoming lunch guests

Award-winning PR agency Arch Communications has partnered with Business Live Global (BLG) to bring the much-loved Business Live lunches back to Nottingham.

The launch event on 24 September was the first Business Live networking lunch in the city for more than four years, attended by businesspeople from as far afield as London.

Business Live ran monthly lunches in Milton Keynes, Leicester and Nottingham from 2010 to 2017.  They were highly acclaimed, attracting dozens of delegates each time with a unique formula – hosted tables, seating plans to support delegates’ networking preferences, and a high popular quiz.

Matt Youdale, the Owner and Director of Arch Communications, said: “We were Business Live members back in the day and thoroughly enjoyed the lunches, so we jumped at the chance to revive them.

“These new events will retain all the principles that made Business Live such a success the first time round – the chance to meet new people, build connections to benefit your business, eat excellent food and have a great time!”

During the Covid-19 pandemic BLG has relaunched, setting up opportunities for businesses to network online both across the UK and abroad. The Milton Keynes-based company is now planning global expansion and is offering franchises to set up and run networking events in other UK cities.

BLG Founder Victoria Beale said: “We’re very happy to be partnering with Arch Communications, whom we’ve known for many years. Together we really believe we have something unique.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the success of our online networks. The Nottingham lunches mark our return to face-to-face events, as we look to help businesses recover from the pandemic. We welcome all aspirational business leaders to our next event.”

The re-launch event was sponsored by Paytap and supported by global TV station NTV. It raised £100 for Nottinghamshire Hospice, which is the adopted charity for the Nottingham lunches.

Based at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nottingham city centre (with free parking), the lunches will take place at 12-2pm on the final Friday of each month.

Future dates already planned are: October 29, November 26, January 28 (2022), February 25, March 25, April 29, May 27 and June 24.

The lunches are £25 + VAT for non-members, £30 + VAT for non-members. Annual BLG membership costs £249 + VAT and provides access to a wide range of benefits, including:

  • Discounted access to all other BLG face-to-face networking events as they return across the country.
  • FREE access to BLG’s UK and international online networking.
  • Discounts and special offers on other members’ services.
  • The chance to feature on the BLG radio station and YouTube channel.
