The Mary Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge welcomed a very special guest, English recording artist and musical theatre actress, Beverley Knight MBE.
Ahead of her appearance as the Magic Mirror in the Hospice’s upcoming pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beverley Knight visited the Hospice for a tour.
During the visit Beverley Knight had pictures with Day Patients that were in the Day Services Unit at the time, spoke to members of the Hospice team and learnt more about the range of services that the Hospice offer to their community.
Following the visit to the Hospice, Beverley and members of the Mary Stevens Hospice Pantomime company went down to Resonance Education on the Waterfront where they began working on Beverley’s part as the Magic Mirror in their upcoming pantomime.
Resonance Education offered their expertise to the Hospice, using green screen and professional video equipment for the part.
James Totney, Community and Events Fundraiser at The Mary Stevens Hospice said: “It was an absolute pleasure to show Beverley Knight around our Hospice and discuss the ways in which we are here to support our community. It was lovely to talk with someone who truly appreciates the importance of the work that a Hospice carries out within their community.
Beverely was wonderful at the Resonance studio and what a pleasure it was to see her doing what she does best. We are all incredibly excited for our pantomime, we can really see it starting to come together now and we just can’t wait to share it with our community and loyal supporters of our pantomime.”
