Residents and staff at Fountains Care Home in Shirley Solihull continued their celebrations of St Patrick’s.
The celebrations were delayed to welcome our new resident Veronica who is of Irish descent, to make her feel at home and it worked!
A delicious and traditional lunch of Irish stew with soda bread was enjoyed followed by a decadent Irish cream cheesecake for dessert.
Fountains residents then linked up with the Irish residents of Meadow View care home, based in Northern Ireland.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed meeting each other for the first time via zoom and learning how everyone had celebrated St Patrick’s Day. A game of themed bingo broke the ice and there was a lot of laughter and winners
In the evening residents enjoyed whisky tasting whilst listening to traditional Irish folk music. A great day was had by all.
