It’s trick or treat with a difference at one Shropshire destination this Halloween.
Apley Farm Shop, on the A442 between Telford and Bridgnorth, will open its pumpkin patch on October 11 and will then host a half term pumpkin event – with an enchanted storyteller, a ride on the Pumpkin Express tractor and a creepy carving cavern where spooky art and creativity will happen.
Dan Morton, Operations Manager at Apley, said: “This is sure to be a spooktacular event and we’re very excited to offer this trick or treat with a difference.
“Of course, there will in fact be lots of treats as families will get to pick their own pumpkin – whether they prefer gruesome green, wicked white or traditional orange, in a variety of sizes.
“Those who book to visit the enchanted witch telling stories will be the bravest, but will also get to embark on an exciting tractor journey, pick their own pumpkin and visit the creepy carving cavern to carve their pumpkin and play lots of fun games too.
“We are delighted to be able to offer yet more to our visitors for the Halloween season this year and have made sure it is sure to be fun for all the family, we look forward to welcoming them all to our spooky courtyard!”
Booking for the Trick or Treat event is essential to avoid disappointment and tickets are £9.95 for children and £2 for adults, with the experience open 9.30am to 4pm, with last entry at 2.50pm, from Saturday 25 October to Friday 31.
The Pumpkin Patch will be open on October 11, 12, 18, 19 and 25 to 31. Entry and the choice of any size pumpkin costs £4.50 per person and includes pumpkin patch games too.
All events will be taking place on a field so visitors are advised to wear suitable footwear and clothing, as it can get muddy at times, and dogs are not permitted on the pumpkin patch, but are welcome in any of the outdoor areas and the seating area around the pumpkin patch.
