Professional services firm KPMG has hired Tom Swain to further strengthen its Business Structuring and Transactions team in the Midlands.
Tom joins the firm’s Birmingham office as a Senior Manager from DLA Piper, bringing with him over 10 years of transactional business structuring experience, after working in the law firm’s Finance, Projects and Restructuring group. At KPMG, Tom will be responsible for advising clients on a full range of transactional matters, complementing the firm’s business structuring and transactions offering.
This latest hire follows Peter Workman who joined KPMG in March as a Partner from PwC, where he led the firm’s Midlands corporate legal practice and flexible lawyer offering. Peter now leads a team of ten business structuring and transactions lawyers in KPMG’s Midlands Legal Services hub, complementing the firm’s existing legal practices across the UK.

The team specialise in a range of domestic and cross-border group reorganisations and business structuring activity, as well as M&A and transactions, working closely alongside KPMG’s tax, accounting, consulting and deal advisory teams.
