Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity is looking for companies to deck the halls of its two award-winning hospitals this Christmas.
The two hospitals, which integrated to create one NHS Foundation Trust in 2017, are calling on kind-hearted businesses to help bring festive cheer to brave families spending the holiday season in hospital.
Eloise Davidson, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “This Christmas, we’re on a mission to create a really magical environment for our brave patients and families but we can’t do it without the help of our friends across the city.
“We want to say a huge thank you to Hogan Lovells, Wesleyan and Extra Energy who have already committed to helping us transform our hospitals into a Winter Wonderland. But with 16 wards left to go, we need to ensure no ward or department gets left behind and that’s why we urgently need more companies to come on board.
“Sponsorship will cover the cost of the decorations, which we will purchase before inviting you in to decorate the ward, meaning all you need to do is bring your volunteers and a sleigh-full of Christmas spirit.”
Steven Calloway, Business Analyst at Extra Energy, said: “We have been involved with this project for the last three years, and it’s a win, win situation for all involved – we get to put a smile on the sick kids’ faces and they put a massive smile on ours! Christmas is obviously a pretty rubbish time to be poorly, so we love the opportunity to come into the wards dressed a bit silly to try to spread some festive cheer!”
As the first trust of its kind in the country, Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust brings together the expertise of both hospitals – to provide the highest quality world-class care that women, children and families want and deserve. The charitable arm of both hospitals is still as important as ever to offer all who visit either Birmingham Children’s Hospital or Birmingham Women’s Hospital the best possible experience.
