The power a business can hold is astounding, especially when it comes to giving back to a community.
Shire Leasing, the business equipment leasing specialists, have done just that. In the last few years CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) has been at the forefront of their minds.
The CSR Committee at Shire Leasing chose a number of good causes to support and their fundraising helped a wide variety of organisations, people and animals, from cancer patients to donkey sanctuaries. As a result, in the financial year 2017/18 Shire Leasing and it’s generous staff have donated an astonishing £6,980.82 to a range of charities, local and national.
This year Shire Leasing look set to surpass their previous efforts having already donated a whopping £2,114.46 in the first quarter of the 2018/19 financial year.
Some of the key charity event highlights over the last few months include:
- Dress-down-day May 2018: For the monthly dress down day at Shire Leasing in May 2018, money was raised for The Donkey Sanctuary in Sutton Park, Birmingham.
- Tough Mudder 2018: Shire Leasing’s twin employees, Hayleigh Robinson and Daniel Barber, took on the world’s toughest obstacle course, Tough Mudder. The five mile military style course includes crawling through barbed wire! The money raised went to Gillway Boys FC.
- Dress-down-day June 2018: Yes To Life is a cancer charity and was also the chosen charity for June’s Dress Down Day. The company raised £130.48, which was then matched, giving the charity £260.98!
Shire Leasing regularly host charity events in order to give back to the community as much as possible. Their CSR Committee is always open to new ideas for charities and causes that are in desperate need of a helping hand.
