Businesses in Sutton Coldfield have come together for the first ‘Friday Notworking Group’ networking event, hosted by Sutton Coldfield Town Centre Business Improvement District.
Representatives from establishments throughout the Royal Town attended the session to help shape the future direction of the business community and offering in Sutton Coldfield.
Following the success of events such as Sutton Coldfield Food Festival and the upcoming Month of Music Festival, the quarterly gathering will shape part of Sutton Coldfield BID’s Business Development Fund, which aims to support business growth in the Town Centre.
The session welcomed owners and managers from retailers, restaurants, hotels and estate agents, including Bodega Cantina and Burley Browne.
Having recently hosted a social media workshop for local businesses, organisers hope the initiative will pave the way for future training sessions, covering topics from finance to human resources.
Mike Bushell, Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID Manager, said: “We are delighted by the huge success of the first ‘Friday Notworking Group,’ with many local businesses joining us at The Station to discuss important issues in an informal gathering.
“We hope this regular networking event will help strengthen the sense of community amongst BID businesses, and highlight key areas where the Business Development Fund can help enhance their own business plans, and ultimately increase the offering in Sutton Coldfield,” he added.
