Auto RARA proudly supported this year’s Mission Motorsport Forces & Families Day at Croft Racing Circuit, an event dedicated to helping veterans and their families reconnect, recover, and celebrate through the power of motorsport.
Mission Motorsport, the Forces’ Motorsport Charity, works under the ethos of Race, Retrain, Recover, helping service leavers rebuild confidence and find new opportunities through motorsport and the wider automotive industry. Learn more at missionmotorsport.org.
Auto RARA’s Contribution
Auto RARA’s sponsorship went far beyond financial donations. The team committed time, resources, and management support in the run-up to the event, while also actively participating on the day itself.
Volunteers supported the smooth running of the track programme, helping veterans in and out of vehicles and assisting with logistics. To showcase its race car preparation expertise, Auto RARA also brought along a Lotus Exige in full company livery, giving veterans an unforgettable track experience and highlighting the precision and excitement of motorsport.
Key to Auto RARA’s continued contribution will be the delivery of volunteers — and this is where the wider community can get involved. For 2026, the plan is to create a strong team of trackside and on-track volunteers to assist with future events.
Volunteering in Action
Volunteering is at the heart of the Croft Forces & Families Day, and this year Auto RARA brought an additional perspective through Maci Stubbs, who joined as part of her work experience placement.
At 17, track driving wasn’t an option, but she immersed herself in the volunteer team, supporting veterans and their families throughout the day. Her main responsibility was to assist participants after their laps — guiding them out of the cars, helping with helmets, and preparing everything for the next passenger.
“Although it may have seemed like a small task, helping participants after their laps was incredibly rewarding. The gratitude from the veterans and their families was heartwarming, and many of them were overjoyed and extremely thankful for the experience. It felt special to be a part of something that had such a significant impact on others,” Maci wrote in her blog.
A highlight for her was arranging for children too young to ride on track to sit inside a Lotus Exige for photos — a small gesture that created big smiles.
Her reflections captured the essence of volunteering: more than logistics, it is about community spirit, inclusion, and human connection. Her full blog can be read here: A Day in the Life as a Volunteer at Mission Motorsport.
Shared Values
“Mission Motorsport is a charity that delivers life-changing experiences,” said David Stubbs, Director of Auto RARA. “For us, being able to give back by sponsoring, volunteering, and sharing our race car expertise is a real privilege. The smiles on people’s faces, even in the rain, show just how powerful motorsport can be in helping people reconnect and feel valued.”
Collaboration with Other Sponsors
The Forces & Families Day was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Mission Motorsport and its committed sponsors. Alongside Auto RARA, the event was proudly supported by:
Together, these contributions ensured the day was safe, welcoming, and impactful for every veteran and family member in attendance.
Become Part of Our Community in 2026
Auto RARA is proud to have been part of such an inspiring day and looks forward to continuing its support of Mission Motorsport and other initiatives that combine community engagement with automotive passion.
Looking ahead to 2026, Auto RARA is inviting more people to join its volunteering team.
Whether on track or trackside, there is a role for everyone. Enthusiasts with track-ready cars can offer hot laps to veterans and families, while others can play an equally important part by fitting helmets, welcoming participants, helping children into cars, or supporting merchandise and logistics.
Volunteering is not just about keeping the event running — it is about meeting like-minded enthusiasts, giving back to the community, and sharing a love of cars and motorsport.
With events already planned at Goodwood, Silverstone, Croft and Wigan, there will be opportunities across the country to get involved.
