Some of the most vulnerable people in society will be given complimentary eye tests and glasses as part of an optician’s 45th anniversary celebrations.
Eyelink Opticians, based in Ludgate Broadway in the City of London, has recently undergone a major refit to mark the milestone and will be staging an Open Day on Wednesday, June 25, with special guests including the Lord Mayor of London, Alastair King.
As part of the celebrations, Eyelink has teamed up with Streets Kitchen in Camden to offer free eye tests and glasses to service users.
Dispensing optician and practice director Bansri Shah said: “Reaching 45 years in business is something to celebrate and we wanted to use it as an opportunity to give something back to the local community here in London.
“We have a long-standing relationship with the brilliant team at Streets Kitchen and we asked them what was something that would have a positive impact on their service users rather than simply making a cash donation.
“By donating our time and some glasses where needed, we will be able to test their eyes and give them the gift of better sight – making a huge difference to their daily lives.”
The practice has also invested heavily in a new specialist Dry Eye room, giving patients the chance to benefit from state-of-the-art Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatment for the condition in luxury spa-like surroundings.
Patients can also enjoy visiting the updated Scandi-style practice while browsing designer brands in the frame collection.
Iconic British designer Paul Smith will be showing off their new collection at the Open Day, with patients able to enjoy major savings on purchases made at the event and take away a complimentary goodie bag.
