Dentons is proud to announce its role as the flagship Law Firm Patron of the Multicultural Apprenticeship and Skills Alliance, furthering its unwavering commitment to championing diversity, inclusion, and equity within apprenticeships and the legal profession.

Established in 2017, the Multicultural Apprenticeship and Skills Alliance is an initiative of the Pathway Group, an organisation at the forefront of supporting individuals in upskilling and reskilling, and has become a leading voice in promoting social mobility and equity in the apprenticeship and employability landscape. Its mission is to prepare, connect, and elevate underrepresented talent by facilitating high-quality career opportunities that drive meaningful change.

This partnership follows Dentons’ apprentice Tawana Robertson’s recognition as a finalist in the recent Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards. Building on this success, Dentons is delighted to strengthen its ties with the Alliance and further develop its relationship as a committed Patron.

As pioneers in legal apprenticeships, Dentons has long championed initiatives to diversify the legal profession. This patronage reflects its dedication to creating pathways for individuals from all backgrounds to access careers in law. Through this partnership, Dentons seeks to leverage the Alliance’s extensive network and reputation to deepen its understanding and amplify its impact on underrepresented communities.

Eleanor Hart, Early Careers Development Partner and Pensions Partner at Dentons, said: “We are honoured to support the Multicultural Apprenticeship and Skills Alliance as a Patron. This partnership aligns with our commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders from multicultural communities. Together, we aim to create meaningful opportunities and inspire talent to thrive in their careers.”

Safaraz Ali, CEO & Founder of the Multicultural Apprenticeship and Skills Alliance, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Dentons as our flagship Law Firm Patron. Their commitment to legal apprenticeships and their leadership in promoting diversity and inclusion align perfectly with our mission. Together, we will continue to break down barriers and create opportunities for underrepresented talent.”

Jagdeep Soor, Executive Director of the Multicultural Apprenticeship and Skills Alliance, added: “We are delighted to have Dentons join us as a Patron. Their pioneering work in legal apprenticeships and their drive to champion equity and inclusion set a powerful example. This partnership marks a significant step forward in our shared vision of creating a more inclusive future for apprenticeships and employability.”

Dentons looks forward to collaborating with the Alliance and other Patrons to create sustainable and impactful change in the legal sector and beyond.
