Blue Almonds, the prestigious early years boutique, is delighted to confirm that their founder, Izabela Minkiewicz, has accepted a role as Ambassador for the charity Mothers2Mothers.
Mothers2Mothers provides much-needed health care in Africa by employing local women as community health care workers. Izabela and the Blue Almonds team are committed to fundraising to enable Mothers2Mothers to employ another local Mentor Mothers. These Mentor Mothers are local women trained as community health care workers. Most Mentor Mothers have HIV, and Mothers2Mothers help enable them to have a fulfilling job. The Mentor Mothers go door to door in over ten countries to help give health care advice; they support whole families, mothers and children. Their work has helped the health care of local communities as well as supporting women with HIV into employment.
Mothers2Mothers fits well with Blue Almonds’ ethos of improving the lives of mothers and their children and leaving the world a better place for our children to grow up in.
Our commitment is to donate 10% of sales from our Signature Blue Almonds collection to meet our fundraising target. The Signature Collection was created exclusively for Blue Almonds by Kissy Kissy. The coordinating baby essentials feature our charming signature rocking horse motif on Kissy Kissy’s premium Pima cotton. These unique babygrows, bibs, hats and blankets are the perfect thoughtful gift for any newborn baby.
To celebrate Iza’s new ambassador role, Blue Almonds is hosting an event with Dr Sara Kayat, recognised for her time on This Morning, who is a fellow ambassador. Dr Sara Kayat will talk about her experience as an ambassador for the charity.
