HR professionals Kelly Allen and Clair Bailey are delighted to announce the joining of HR Dept Bradford and HR Dept York. The pair have teamed up to support their local business communities.
Kelly has lived in West Yorkshire for the past 20 years and understands the predominant industries in the area and the people issues local SMEs have. Kelly has been an Employment Law and HR Consultant for most of her career. Before joining the HR Dept, she worked for a national consultancy supporting their clients with their HR priorities and developing their company values.
Kelly feels close to the area, “My two children were born here, and I feel West Yorkshire is home. I’m delighted to be joining Clair to help the businesses of Bradford and York thrive. We can help businesses with all their people management issues and I’m particularly keen on helping managers develop their skills as this is often a key area that needs supporting in growing SMEs. Having worked for a construction company in York previously, as well as an insurance broker in Bradford, I know both areas well, which is important when supporting local businesses.”
Like Kelly, Clair has lived in the region for 20 years and has a special area of expertise in manufacturing. Clair’s early career was in Shropshire working in manufacturing for large Japanese, American and European organisations. Following a relocation to York, Clair worked for one of the main confectionery companies in York,
“I enjoy building relationships with both employers and employees and balancing the needs of managers whilst supporting employees to work on their personal development. I really appreciate the fact that I live in a city that people recognise and admire. I know the city well and have become familiar with many of the local businesses that support our community. I hope to see the Bradford and York businesses develop and thrive and to welcome new members to the team.”
The HR Dept is a franchisee network of 70 licensees providing outsourced services in 120 territories in the UK, Ireland, and Australia. It was created in 2002 after founder and executive director Sue Tumelty identified a gap in the market to offer personalised expert HR solutions to local businesses. The first HR Dept office was in Bristol, which has since become a worldwide establishment.
Across the network, The HR Dept’s licensees provide high-level experience at an affordable rate for growing businesses that need the expertise on hand but have neither the need nor the budget for an in-house HR team. The HR Dept also provides support to existing in-house HR teams from a capacity and/or expertise perspective.
