Lancashire shopping and dining destination, Derby House in Wrightington, celebrated the addition of five new businesses at an event on 26th June.
Home to the Jak Hanson retail outlet, Derby House Food Hall, The Paddock Restaurant and most recently the Roast Mutton Lancs Butcher, the venue held a welcome event that attracted over 250 people, with a prize raffle, free barbecue, free food samples from local stockists in the farm shop and exclusive special offers in the new units at the front of the store.
The ‘pods’ were built last year and all have been occupied by female entrepreneurs from the area, keen to take advantage of the existing footfall and Jak Hanson’s appeal as a shopping destination just off junction 27 of the M6, which attracts coach parties and shoppers from across the UK.
Florista UK Florist, A.S Skin Clinic, NK Beauty, CM Wellness and The Busy Bee Boutique have now opened their premises at the site and customers were encouraged to visit each individual pod to discover more about each business. Customers visiting all five collected a stamp to be entered into a raffle, with prizes worth a total of £475 drawn at the end of the night.
Selling top name clothing, footwear, toys, homewares, gifts and bedding brands; the 19,000 sq ft business opened at its current location, in 2013.
Said Jane Ramones, co-founder of JAK Hanson: “The businesses were really pleased with the reception that evening, gaining new clients and customers. Jak Hanson also offered double loyalty reward points for all existing customers and new custom signups.”
