Wrexham Bean Co. wins National Food and Drink Award at Made in Wales

Wrexham Bean Co. – the city’s first speciality coffee roaster – has taken home the 2025 Food and Drink Award at the prestigious Made in Wales event.

The awards, organised annually by Insider Media and held this year in Cardiff on Thursday 23rd October, celebrate the very best of Welsh manufacturing and innovation.

Other leading Welsh businesses shortlisted in the category included Brecon Carreg, Farmers Food at Home, and Cleverchefs.

Rich Priamo, Co-Founder of Wrexham Bean Co. said: “Winning the Food and Drink Award is really special because it’s our first ever award for Wrexham Bean, and to be recognised on a national level makes us incredibly proud. There was some really tough competition, and all the shortlisted businesses work so hard.”

Founded in 2022 by family members Richard Priamo and James Roche, Wrexham Bean Co. supplies a wide range of businesses, cafés, shops, and hotels across North Wales and beyond.

Every bag of coffee features unique artwork of iconic Wrexham landmarks, including The Racecourse Ground at Wrexham AFC, Erddig Hall and Gardens, a tribute to the Gresford Colliery Disaster, and Wrexham High Street in the 1960s.

Rich continued: “It’s been a whirlwind three years since we started, and we’ve got so much more to come. We’ve just installed a brand new coffee roaster to help us meet growing demand, and we’ve got some incredible new artwork of local Wrexham landmarks for our coffee bags on the way too.”
