Leading Worcestershire business support provider, BizSmart®, has become a member of the British Franchise Association [BFA], the body responsible for setting high-quality standards of franchising across the UK.

Founded in 2012, BizSmart® is renowned for its success in bringing like-minded business leaders together via peer-to-peer learning and engagement. The organisation has established a leading reputation as the support provider of choice having helped hundreds of businesses across the county to scale up, grow their profits and improve their operating practices.

The BFA is the only regulatory body for franchising in the UK and aims to promote ethical franchising among its members, which include franchisors, franchisees and professional advisors. Businesses undergo rigorous checks against an extensive set of criteria to become approved members and must demonstrate a commitment to best practice and ethical franchising.

The BizSmart® franchise model not only provides proven professionals with the opportunity to build and establish their own business support offering under the BizSmart® umbrella, but also extends vital support to professionals likely to benefit from peer-to-peer learning and engagement during current economically challenging times.

Pip Wilkins, Chief Executive of the British Franchise Association, said: “The British Franchise Association is very pleased to welcome BizSmart® on board as a new member. In becoming part of the Association, the business is not only demonstrating its commitment to franchisees, but to its overall growth.

“BizSmart® has some very exciting plans for the coming year and we are really looking forward to sharing its journey into franchising.”

Kevin Brent, Founder and Managing Director of BizSmart®, said: “We are very proud to have become a member of the British Franchise Association, having fulfilled the body’s strict and extensive criteria with our business model and the support we provide.

“There has never been a better time to launch a business-to-business ScaleUp programme under our guidance and support. Business owners – more than ever – are looking for help in these economically challenging times to scale their businesses on strong foundations and to build value as they develop and grow.

“With our proven scale up programmes, SMEs can develop growth strategies that deliver genuine value creation whilst enabling the franchisee to build their own profitable business.”

Launched in November 2020, BizSmart Franchises are available in key parts of the West Midlands, including central Birmingham.
