Prime Accountants Group has moved into 2024 by promoting five members of staff – Paislei Godley, Emily Sutton, Lemar Chandegra, Callum O Rourke and Kerrie Given

A leading West Midlands accountancy firm has kicked off 2024 with a raft of promotions after another successful year of growth.

Prime Accountants Group, which has offices in Solihull, Birmingham and Coventry, has promoted five members of staff with a combined total of 49 years’ service to the company.

Kerrie Given and Paislei Godley, who joined the firm in 2006 and 2001 respectively, have both been promoted to associate director.

In Prime’s wealth planning and advisory business, Prime Wealth, Callum O’Rourke has been promoted to senior manager and Emily Sutton has been promoted to manager.

Finally, Lemar Chandegra, who joined Prime as a graduate, has been promoted to audit and accounts senior after qualifying as an accountant.

Both Emily and Lemar have been with Prime for five years, while Callum joined four years ago.

Kerrie joined in 2006 as a payroll administrator, progressing to the role of payroll manager in 2010, senior payroll manager in 2016 and senior practice manager in 2022. In her new role she will oversee payroll and central services, marking her integration into the leadership board.

Paislei started as a junior in 2001 and was appointed tax manager in 2013, with her latest promotion following hot on the heels of her climb to senior manager in 2023. As associate director, Paislei will head up the personal tax compliance department and assist with tax advisory work.

Callum joined the Prime Wealth team in February 2020 with expertise in dealing with high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients, and financial education in the retirement planning space.

He joined shortly after Emily, who started her journey as an IFA administrator and quickly progressed to senior IFA administrator and more recently operations manager.

Kevin Johns, managing director of Prime Accountants, said: “Providing a working culture where people can grow and progress is a huge part of the ethos at Prime and this quartet is proof positive of that.

“It’s great to see promotions across the spectrum, too – from Kerrie and Paislei, who have been with us for many years, to Lemar, who joined us straight from university.

“Congratulations to all five – I am sure they will continue to flourish in their new roles.”
