Walkers set to rise and shine for new Sunrise Walk!

Sunrise at Shugborough

Katharine House Hospice is delighted to announce its new Sunrise Walk which will see supporters enjoy the stunning landscape of The Shugborough Estate as the sun rises on Sunday 3rd May 2020.

Participants of this uplifting six mile sponsored walk will also be able to customise and hang a lantern in memory of a loved one and enjoy breakfast after the event!

Katharine House Hospice’s Events Fundraiser, Lisa Carson said: “This is a brand new event for us and we’re really excited to be able to offer our supporters the chance to enjoy the stunning experience of sunrise at Shugborough. It’s perfect for those wishing to walk in memory or loved ones or those simply wishing to experience the breath-taking early morning views. It’s a truly rewarding way to support your local hospice and not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning!

Walkers will also be able to hang a memory lantern, which can be customised at home, on our celebration trees to light up the start line”.

Registration and lantern hanging will take place at 4.45am and the Sunrise Walk will start at 5.30am. Prices are £15 per adult and £5 per child under 16 and include a tshirt, medal, breakfast and lantern for supporters to customise and hang at the start line.

Bookings can be made in advance at: https://www.khhospice.org.uk/event/sunrise-walk or by calling 01785 270808, and close on Friday 1st May 2020. Bookings made on the day will incur a price increase.
