A full-service law firm is offering people aged 50 and over in Dudley, Kingswinford, Merry Hill and Walsall, the opportunity to make a free Will to help boost legacy donations for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which covers six Midlands counties including Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, the West Midlands, and Worcestershire, has responded to almost 74,000 missions since its launch in 1991. It’s one of the busiest air ambulance services in the UK and four in ten of its missions are funded through gifts left in Wills by generous pledgers.

Waldrons Solicitors has branches across Gloucestershire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire and is now one of 15 firms supporting Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s free Will writing service. The scheme raises awareness of how vital legacy donations are and the significant role they play in making lifesaving missions possible for the rapid response pre-hospital service.

Emma Wood, head of fundraising and engagement for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Around 40 per cent of all our missions are funded through the legacies we receive from those generous supporters who have kindly left a gift to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity in their Will. People in the West Midlands who are considering writing or updating their Will can now do this free of charge with the team at Waldrons Solicitors in partnership with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Anyone who leaves a gift to our charity will be making daily lifesaving missions possible in their local area as part of their legacy.”

Jessica Bird, associate solicitor at Waldrons, added: “We are very proud to be supporting Midlands Air Ambulance Charity with its free Will writing scheme. The team here at Waldrons are geared up and ready to help raise awareness of this incredible emergency service provided to the communities of the West Midlands and our aim is to increase the number of much needed pledges.”

The free Will writing service, via Waldrons Solicitors, is available to those aged 50 and over that live within the region of service from Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. A nominal fee is paid by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity to the participating solicitors. Anyone who would like more information can visit: midlandsairambulance.com/freewillscheme.
