A significant proportion of UK households lack the financial resilience required to meet unexpected costs such as funerals, according to new findings revealed by leading direct cremation provider Celebration of Life.
The study of 8,000 individuals1 found that one in three households has less than £500 in savings, while one in 10 has no financial safety net whatsoever.
The research highlights the continuing impact of cost-of-living pressures, with four in five respondents reporting difficulty meeting everyday expenses.2
