Three authors hold joint book signing at charity The Gurkha Welfare Trust

Authors Peter Duffell, Annabel Venning and Craig Lawrence held a joint signing for their latest books at The Gurkha Welfare Trust office in Salisbury.

The event, which tool place last month, was not open to the public brought together the three unrelated authors who all have new books out which are either Gurkha or military themed.

Sir Peter Duffell KBE CBE MC was signing copies of ‘Gurkha Odyssey’, a compelling journey through Gurkha history.

Annabel Venning was signing copies of ‘To War With The Walkers’ – an extraordinary, compelling picture of a family entwined in the Second World War.

Craig Lawrence CBE was there to sign his latest history offering ‘Gurkha: 25 Years of the Royal Gurkha Rifles’.

Adam Bentham, Head of Marketing and Communications at The Gurkha Welfare Trust said: “It is very flattering that these authors asked to bring attention to the vital work of our charity by holding this event at our offices and it is nice to see the links they have to the Gurkhas personally.

“We think our supporters will enjoy these books as will anyone with an interest in military history and they could make a great New Year read.

The Gurkha Welfare Trust ensures Gurkha veterans, their widows and their wider communities can live with dignity in Nepal, through the provision of financial, medical and community aid.
