Veena Giridhar Gopal, a seasoned business leader with nearly 25 years of experience in the global consumer goods sector, is now seeking to acquire an established consumer goods business in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland.
Having honed her expertise in senior roles at some of the world’s leading consumer goods companies, Gopal is stepping into a more entrepreneurial role, bringing with her deep industry knowledge, professionalism, and a strong network of connections.
She has driven growth across international markets including Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia, and has led large-scale business transformations exceeding £100 million. Her experience spans leadership roles at household brands such as Diageo and PepsiCo International, as well as several entrepreneurial ventures and consulting for retail and FMCG companies worldwide.
Her ideal target is a company with an EBITDA of £1.5 million to £10 million, operating in categories such as packaged food and beverages, personal care and cosmetics, home care and hygiene, or nutraceuticals and supplements.
“I am excited to embark on this next stage of my career,” Gopal says. “After spending many years working for companies in the consumer goods sector, my ambition is to acquire an established brand and help it reach new heights. This search will be conducted thoughtfully and purposefully, and I believe it has the potential to make a real impact in the industry.”
Gopal is currently an independent consultant with Global Sextant, working with small and medium sized consumer goods businesses to help them enter new markets in the UK and internationally, and optimise supply chain and production processes for efficiency gains.
